Personal Enrichment
Taking control of your life and finances
Personal Enrichment is a training program to help low income Cantonese women improve their life quality.
Through interactive workshops and discussions, they learn to:
- rely on themselves and become financially independent
- look and feel confident
- negotiate assertively at home and at work
- set realistic goals to make positive changes in their life
- find ways to grow their income
- develop a financial plan and implement their goals
- assess risks and explore how to manage them
- learn how to invest their savings
This highly practical training helps them identify how to implement positive changes right away in their life.
This training consists of 4 sessions of 3 hours each:
- Part 1: Relying on myself (your rights as a woman, resisting gender stereotyping, setting goals for yourself).
- Part 2: Shaping my future (financial planning, monitoring expenses, managing financial risks, time management and getting things going).
- Part 3: Growing my resources (becoming more confident, growing your income).
- Part 4: Taking control of my life (learning to negotiate, investing for a better future)
This course is sponsored by The Women’s Foundation, a registered Hong Kong charity which promotes the full participation of women and girls in all aspects of Hong Kong society by building resources to support change through research, education, public awareness and programmes.
