Good Planning with Money
This course is a follow up of Good Habits with Money™: we review the key learning of how to manage money, measure what the students have managed to implement since they attended Good Habits with Money™, get more practical tips on how to get out of debt, control expenses, write a budget, save, and deal with family pressure, and the difficulties of implementation: self motivation, discipline, maths aversion, peer pressure on expenses, temptation to buy in a shopping paradise like Hong Kong, telephone bills, etc… We also learn the basics of insurance and investments, in order to be able to choose an adequate insurance contract for her family, if relevant and get a better understanding on the risks and mechanisms of investing in order to choose the best way of growing her saving and avoiding scams.
Format:
The course consists of two 2-hour sessions. It is available in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Learning objectives:
- Measure what the students have implemented from Good Habits with Money™
- Identify the main obstacles and difficulties in implementing money management and practical solutions to overcome them
- Understand the mechanisms of insurance
- Understand the basic notions on investments, especially the notion of risk.
Training Methods:
The training mixes exercises, personal assessment and brainstorming. Lively exercises are done in teams. Each exercise is related to the issues raised in the dialogue and is as practical and realistic as possible. Exercises are corrected during the training. The participants are given a handout with a course summary and a glossary.
