School: train your teachers
Teachers will have a key role in your project.
- Create a project team including teachers - so that they are involved in each step of your project.
- Enroll them in a Financial Education training. You may want to train all your teachers, not just the project stakeholders. Why? So that none of the teachers feel excluded from very important knwoledge and skills. You will also get a wider support for your school project. It can be in 2 phases: those involved in the project first, then all the other teachers. Teachers are likely to be stressed by having to teach something they don’t necessarily know and apply in their daily life. The more they learn, apply and see the benefits for their own personal financial situation, the more motivated they will be to teach Financial Education and share their knowledge with their students.
